ONGOING projects

Back To School

Portland Charity Fund assists at least fifty (50) students with tuition, ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) worth of book vouchers and a stipend of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) fortnightly to attend school.

This is a part of our special Mentorship Programme for gifted and needy students across the parish.

We have also assisted some of these students with devices on a needs basis. This is in addition to Book Vouchers and small tuition grants given to students at a cost of at least Seven Million Dollars ($10m) yearly.

Medical

We assist women from the parish with mammograms on an annual basis.

Portland Charity Fund also provides small grants for prescription and medical procedures to neediest persons across the parish.

Mullet Hall Pilot X Ready TV

A recently completed three month test project in collaboration with Ready TV to provide internet access to the community of Mullet Hall in Portland. This was done at no cost to residents and now that Ready TV are comfortable with the testing of service they are in process of getting the relevant government approvals for the broadscale roll out of this project.
